Brooklyn Sage turns 5!

Brooklyn Sage :
A lover of all things girly. Anything girly, you name it- she loves it! A disliker of most things pertaining to the outside world. And one who highly dislikes animals. Also know to be easily scared by things and people, which is awesome for the older brother.

She has shocked us lately with her ability to act civil around cats, even petting them!! Maybe by 6 she can conquer the dog fear! And don't get me started on mice. We don't have them in our house, but she has nightmares about them. She has also started ramping her bike along with her big brother!

We recently celebrated her 5th birthday. It was an extremely fun time for her. She went on a date with Daddy and Mommy. And had a small party with us and the next day her cousins.

We, well pretty much I, chose an easy cake and geared it towards a princessy theme. Since princesses are so fun.

What happens when the little brother dives in and blows out the candles before you get a chance!
He just had a birthday and felt responsible to do it himself! :)

She discovered her birthday gift in the closet. (unwrapped) the day of her birthday.
She was concerned saying " Mom, should i just act like i don't know what it was?"
So this is her acting surprised about her new princess shoes.

Happy 5th birthday Brooklyn!
I love having a little girl to go shopping with.
And even one that lets me know when my outfit looks good or funny.:)

May i never take you for granted and always remember enjoy each moment with you!!!

A little run down on me and my growing self..

I believe it was 2 posts back i mentioned that we have another lil munchkin in utero.

This pregnancy is flying by and dragging by at the same time.
If you know what i mean. :)

I guess with age and more children to run after it doesn't get any easier to grow lil ones.

But we are managing and i just have to remember that when pregnant i have half of the energy..

So that means that -
Our house gets half cleaned
My children might only get half bathed and dressed
The meals i cook will be half delightful
And hubby, well, he gets half of my attention as well.

And this sweet, tiny always moving munchkin gladly, I'm sure, takes all the rest(of my energy) so it can grow good and strong. :)

How far along am i?
24 weeks. That sounds like a good number. Being over  half way is always nice.
And just like my 3 pregnancies before- I'm growing like a weed. My whole body "does pregnant very well" and never ceases to amaze me with it's growing abilities. :)
This pic was taken a couple weeks ago.

 What are we having?
This time around we decided to find out. We have been surprised twice. And found out once..And we loved both ways. This time we felt like finding out so we did again. Ahhhh. What fun. I love ultra sounds. I don't care what people say.. babies are such lil miracles. And i feel super blessed to be given not 1, but 4!!

We had a gender reveal with the children.
They were so excited for this.
Brooklyn and Carter both wanted a little sister.
Specially Brooklyn.
We were so excited for them that they got their wish.
And i have to say I'm really excited to dress a baby girl again.
So much to do now...
So many headbands and fun girly things to buy.
A boy probably would have been a cheaper option.
 So excited!!
Jamison doesn't have a clue whats going on, of course.

And that's where we are at now folks.
Taking one day at a time.
Not letting one moment slip by where i don't thank God for this sweet lil one.
Enjoying each pregnant moment-
Whether it be the fun symptoms like the baby sweetly kicking me or the other not so pleasant pregnant symptoms that occur.

Celebrating Jamison turning two...

This Sunday our little boy turns 2.
Yes, that little boy who was just born, like yesterday was it?

Ahhh. Time moves too fast sometimes.
And i must say that was the fastest 2 years and the longest 2 years.
He was the third born and the one that kept me up at night ALOT.
At almost 2 he now lets me sleep most of the night. Getting up 1 or 2 times a night seems like nothing compared to how it used to be.
He would make up for it by being so cute in the day, of course.
And we couldn't/can't help but love that little man.
Even if i didn't have any gray hairs on my head till AFTER he was born.
I will always blame my gray hair on him. :)

He is the first one of ours to be a daddy's boy. The other 2 always loved mommy over daddy.
But not Jamison.
Just today i asked him if he is Mommy's boy.
His reply is shaking his head no and saying "Daddy" :) And if its not daddy then it's "Papa".. :)

All of that being said--
Here are a few pics of his early birthday party we had the other night.
He does not have many words in his vocabulary yet.
But when talking about his upcoming birthday and cake. He would always say "B-ball!!"(baseball)
So we went with the baseball theme cupcakes.

The joy of everyone singing happy birthday to you.
Deep down inside i think even adults want to smile like this and soak up a happy birthday sung to them .:)
 Blowing out the candles.
His favorite part of the whole party, i think.
We kept re-lighting and letting him blow them out.

He loves to give fist bumps and high fives. After he blew out his candles he was busy doing that to his older cousins for a little. :)
 Enjoying the cupcakes...

Discovering the candy on the counter and then finding a way to climb up and eat it.
This cousin fractured his skull a few weeks ago. Now he lives life on the safe side and even wears a helmet while eating cupcakes. Smart guy. :)
 Present time.
Nothing like the pure innocence of a two yr old discovering his gifts.
Love his excited expression here. :)

 Happy Birthday Jamison Parker.
Its so fun to be your Mommy and i'd do the sleepless nights all over again in a heart beat if i had to. :)

30 and 7 is what they turned!

June is a month where we celebrate 2 birthdays at our house.
Actually those 2 birthdays get celebrated the same day!

Usually Curtis ends up getting a ball, puppy, Thomas the train or another boy cake like that.
This year, though was the big 3- OH.
So i knew we needed to have a celebration just for him.

A week before his birthday we began the celebrations by throwing a party for Curtis.
It was a drop in evening filled with fun and fellowship.

This is a neat way to get people to write encouraging notes and and advice for the birthday boy..
Then they are entered for a drawing.
Curtis enjoyed reading each note!

Some of the cute lil kiddos at the party.

 Popcorn, cupcakes and loli-pops.

Thirty years old and posing with his family.

The day/weekend of the birthday we headed to Charleston for the weekend.

Eating ice cream in downtown Charleston.

Then a few days later we gave Carter his promised birthday party as well.
A party with all of his classmates.
7 years old.

He was pleased with his hunting cake.
I was pleased with how easy it was to put together.
How is it that i have a 7 yr old child already?
Such a cute lil class.

It was a great time celebrating another year of life and health to both of these guys. So blessed to have them in my life!

What all happened while i was gone.

Hello. Its been awhile, i know.
Where does one start when they've been gone so long?
I don't know.
But i'm going to go back to the beginning of our summer and take you right to the end.
Just a really quick run down, if at all possible.
(we did many other things this summer, but this is, sadly, all i took pictures of)

Our summer started out with a bang.

It was the last day of school and we were excited!
Curtis was leaving for work and discovered our shed was broken into during the night.
Mostly all of his hunting stuff and a bunch of tools were taken.
Not fun to deal with.
But a great lesson to teach kiddos.
About how God wants us to Hate the sin(robbery).. but LOVE the sinner (robber).
And to PRAY for those that do wrong to us.

Then we went to school and watched Carter along with all the other students release balloons for the last day of the year!! Goodbye 2013-2014 school year!!
The next night was the ending awards program.
Then there was a last minute weekend trip to PA for a funeral.
The kiddos  had a blast hanging out with their second cousins and we had a blast hanging out with their parents.

Well, Jamison had fun for the most part. :)
We picked blueberries at the blueberry patch up the road.

Soon after that we enjoyed a week long visit from my mom and sister!

What crazy daughters she raised!! :)
We did all kinds of fun stuff, but i wasn't taking too many pics.
Here we were are hanging out at the flea market.
A fun place to go and feel all touristy!

Next we celebrated birthdays and took a trip to Charleston.

We kept cool by going to the local spray ground.

And we did lots of swinging.
There was lots and lots of shopping to replace stolen hunting things.

Some where in there.. i found my daughter "reading" this one day. :)

And we celebrated and thanked God for new life growing inside of me.
(Baby #4 due Feb 2015)
We swam in our kiddie pool many, many times.
Sometimes even wearing life jackets if we wanted.
Then all too soon.
Almost in the blink of an eye.
We headed back to the land of schedules and school and all that fun stuff.

And he is now a second grader!!

Happy Fall to you!
I hope to be back here more,, now that my pregnancy is to the point i'm feeling better!!
